Dr. Burwick was born in Ohio and spent most of her childhood in Buffalo, NY. She attended college at the University of Rochester, where she graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Neuroscience. She then went on to get her medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine, where she graduated cum laude. During medical school she spent a month volunteering at the Pediatric Ward at Victoria Medical Center in Cape Town, South Africa. After completing medical school, she remained in Columbus for her internship and residency training. During her last year of residency she travelled to Gondar, Ethiopia to work with the local cataract surgeons and provide eye care to those in need. She relocated to North Platte in the summer of 2013 to join Dr. James Shreck as he prepared to retire in 2014.
She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, the Nebraska Medical Association and the Nebraska Academy of Eye Physicians and Surgeons.
In her spare time she enjoys traveling, reading, sewing, cooking, and many outdoor activities including hiking, running, skiing and biking.
Charlie was born and raised in Buffalo, NY. He has been in the Western Nebraska area for five years with his wife and 2 kids. Charlie enjoys playing with his kids, traveling, playing poker, and golfing. The best part about working at ESON is getting to know the patients and seeing their reactions for the first time after removing the eye patch. Charlie has been working at ESON for five years and is excited to see what the future brings.
Assistant Manager and Billing Specialist
Bonnie was born and raised in Western Nebraska. She and her husband have lived in the North Platte area for over 30 years. Bonnies loves to travel, read a good books, watch movies and spend time with family. She loves coming up with solutions to challenges. Bonnie has worked with Dr. Burwick for over 5 years, but has worked in Ophthalmology for over 25 years.
Certified Ophthalmic Assistant
Holly was born in North Platte and raised in Sutherland where she graduated high school. Holly and her husband have 3 dogs and one cat. They are also expecting their first baby in March. She enjoys reading, taking walks, and spending time with her pets. The best part about working at ESON is getting to work and help people understand eye health. Holly has worked in the office for over 4 years.
Judy was born in Lincoln, Nebraska, but has spent most of her life in the “Hills” area of Nebraska. She graduated from Sutherland High School and attended college at MPCC, where she met her husband. Together they have 3 daughters, 3 grandchildren and a Cat named (Scooter). Judy likes to attend garage sales, go 4-wheeling, and treasures all of her time spent with family. She really enjoys getting to know the patients and people she works with at ESON.
Mickie was born and raised in North Platte. She has 3 children and 8 grandchildren that keep her on her toes. Mickie likes to spend time with her family, garden (especially flowers), cook, and watch football.She has over 43 years of experience in ophthalmology and enjoys helping patients on their visual journey. She also enjoys seeing how eye care has changed over the years. Mickie has worked at ESON for just over a year.
Koral was born and raised in Hershey. She and her husband are kept busy by their four kids, most of whom are in college. Koral enjoys camping, jeeping, and motorcycle riding. She says the best part of working in the clinic is the people she works and interacts with. She also enjoys what she does and is often the first person you will meet when you come into the office. She has been apart of ESON for almost a year and a half.
Alisha was born and raised in Grand Island. She and her husband have been married for 17 years. They have 3 amazing kids and a few animals (dogs, cats, horses, pigs). Alisha likes spending time with her family, shopping, camping, and racing motocross with her family. She also loves working with the incredible staff and patients. Alisha has been working at ESON for over 2 years.
Samantha lives in Nebraska. She enjoys interacting with the patients, especially seeing the look on their faces when the eye patch is taken off postop. She says the look on their faces is “priceless.” Sam has worked at ESON for 1 year.
